Stubborn fat

Those last areas that won't shift with diet and exercise can be targeted directly, without surgery or downtime.

Treating stubborn fat under the surface

What stubborn fat is

Stubborn fat is the pocket of fat that stays put even when you eat well and exercise. It sits in the layer just under the skin, and these areas often have fewer blood vessels and fat cells that are slower to release their stores, so they are the last to change.

Why it happens

Genetics largely decide where your body stores fat. Hormones, age, stress, sleep and a slower metabolism all add to it, and after pregnancy or menopause fat often settles in new places.

Our approach at Pearl Med Spa

We start with a body assessment, including a fat assessment and measurements, so we know exactly what we are working with. Then we target the area directly: RF heat that warms fat cells to support the body's own process for clearing them, combined with treatments that tighten the skin above and tone the muscle beneath. It is non-invasive and works alongside a healthy routine, not instead of it.

Where stubborn fat tends to sit

Abdomen and waist

The most common area, often the lower belly and the waist. It is especially stubborn after pregnancy and with age.

Love handles and flanks

Fat at the sides of the waist and lower back that can feel impossible to shift with exercise alone.

Thighs and hips

Inner and outer thighs and the hips, where fat often sits alongside cellulite.

Upper arms

The back of the upper arm, where fat and loose skin often show up together, so treating both at once works well.

Our solutions for stubborn fat

Each one is chosen after your body assessment, and they are often combined for the best result.

RF Body Contouring

Radio-frequency heat warms the fat layer to help reduce stubborn fat, while the same heat helps tighten the skin above so it is not left loose.

About the body assessment

Stubborn fat questions

Is this a weight-loss treatment?

No. It is for shaping specific areas that don't respond to diet and exercise, and works best for people close to their goal weight.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients need a series of sessions spaced about a week apart. We will map out a plan after your body assessment.

When will I see results?

Some clients notice a change after the first few sessions, with results building over the series as the body clears treated fat cells.

Does it hurt?

RF feels like a warm massage, and EMS like an intense workout while you lie back. Both are adjusted to your comfort.

Is there downtime?

None. You can go straight back to your day.

How do I keep my results?

Stay active, eat well and drink plenty of water. Occasional maintenance sessions help keep the area looking its best.
